Financial Assistance
Kaiser Permanente understands that times are tough and that your pocketbook may be affected by your current health status. We have staff available to help you plan for payment of services. Although the patient holds responsibility for ensuring that payment is made, we can help you sort through the details and necessary steps to ensure that your financial arrangements go as smoothly as possible.
Medical Financial Assistance (MFA) is one of the Kaiser Permanente’s charitable care programs.
- It offers financial assistance to uninsured or insured low income patients who are unable to pay for all or part of medically necessary services and have exhausted private and/or public payor sources.
- Patients must meet financial criteria to receive a discount or an award that may cover some or all of the costs of care.
- Patients need to apply at the Business Office in room 160.
If you would like to discuss a financial matter with us, please contact Member Services at (408) 851-1700.
