Radiation Oncology at Santa Clara Kaiser Permanente
The Radiation Oncology Department is located on the Homestead campus in the Cancer Treatment Center (CTC). The CTC can be found across the bridge on the west side of Calabazas Creek. The department incorporates modern linear accelerators, high dose-rate afterloader, and imaging technology for delivery of advance radiation therapy.
Radiation oncologists diagnose and treat various malignancies and benign conditions with the use of a number of radiation techniques. These include high dose-rate brachytherapy (HDR), three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3DCRT), intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT). We work closely with other departments, including medical oncology, surgery, ENT surgery, dermatology, gastroenterology, GYN oncology, neurology, pediatric oncology, and urology to provide the best cancer care available.
