- The Department of Pathology receives and processes specimens resulting from surgical and other procedures performed by providers in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
- We process and analyze these specimens, summarizing our findings in consultative reports.
- Our pathologists also perform certain types of biopsies.
- They also act as consultants for the operations of the clinical laboratory, including the blood bank.
