Palliative Care:  living with an advanced illness

Your care. Your decisions.

Facing a serious advanced illness is not easy. There are difficult topics to discuss with your loved ones, treatment options to consider, and tough decisions to make. But you don’t have to go through this alone.

At Kaiser Permanente, we’re here to help you and your family talk through these challenging issues and understand your options. Above all, we’ll support the decisions you make about your care. We’ll talk with you about what’s important to you and how we can support your personal beliefs and wishes for today and the future. Your values, preferences, and hopes will guide your care.

may be you wish to feel more comfortable while receiving treatment. Or perhaps you want help to talk more openly about your feelings with your family, friends, and your care team. Whatever your questions or concerns, we’ll help you face the tough choices ahead.
