Medical Oncology/Hematology and Infusion Center
Our department consists of eight excellent Oncologists/Hematologists, who see patients with cancer for consultation, follow-up, and recommend treatment options. We have more than 20 oncology nurses and medical assistants on our staff providing compassionate and skillful care.
Adult Infusion Center administers chemotherapy, blood transfusions, fluid hydration, and many other types of treatments for patients. We are located on the fourth floor Department #440.
We offer a free chemotherapy orientation class every Tuesday afternoon between 2 and 4 PM. You may contact our case manager Marianne Burrows (408-851-4311) for information about this class. Normally between 5 and 8 patients attend this class each week, accompanied by one or two of their family members. Patient and families learn a great deal of information through this class.
We have transformed our chemotherapy administration into a paperless electronic process.

Susan Tilton (408-851-4316) is our resourceful social worker who provides counseling to cancer patients and families. Susan also leads The General Cancer Support Group, Gyn Cancer Support Group and Breast Cancer Support Group (with other people). These cancer groups provide information and support a safe environment to share feelings. Each group offers a sense of belonging and a place to speak with others going through similar treatments. Patients are encouraged to bring adult support persons who gain knowledge and a sense of community from its members. All the groups are upbeat and hopeful. The groups are free and open to all Kaiser members as well as people from our community.
