Female sexual dysfunction
For premenopausal women who receive chemotherapy and become postmenoapsual as a result, their sexual changes can be dramatic, especially if they have to take hormonal therapy after they have finished chemotherapy.
For postmenopausal women, taking hormonal therapy often causes sexual changes too.
- Low libido, vaginal dryness, pain with intercourse, and difficulty to reach orgasm are some of the problems.
- Lubricant, vaginal cream and other methods may be used for minimizing these symptoms.
Women may experience changes of their self-esteem or image because of breast surgery. This can cause difficulties in their sexual life too.
Consult your doctors about these symptoms and discuss about ways to manage them.
