Eye changes
Eye changes:
Some patients develop excessive tearing and eyelash changes that irritate their eyes.
- Artificial tears may relieve symptoms.
- In severe cases, topical steroid ointment may be applied, but be sure that there is no infection present.
- Eyelash removal may be needed in some patients who have persistent uncomfortable irritation from altered eyelashes.
Some patients develop blepharitis:
- It is characterized by chronic inflammation of the eyelid margins, with redness of the eyes, itching and irritation.
- Treatment includes removal of the eyelid margin debris, avoiding makeup, using antibiotic to reduce the burden of bacteria.
